CANYON//SRAM Racing and Tacx announced a new 3-years partnership. The professional German women’s cycling team with riders like Kasia Niewiadoma, Hannah Barnes and Elena Cecchini will be training and racing with the Tacx’s bike trainers, bottles and bottle cages.

The team will use the NEO 2 Smart for their warming up and training sessions.  The team uses the Zwift Academy as a platform to recruit new riders every year. Last month Ella Harris from New Zealand won the 2018 edition and will be joining the team this season. The 20-year-old has beaten around 5,000 Zwift Academy contestants and is the third winner of a pro contract with this team.

Ronny Lauke, team manager of CANYON//SRAM Racing is happy with this new collaboration. “I’m really looking forward to this partnership. Tacx has built up a good name within the pro peloton,” he said. “Furthermore it’s great that our riders can train on the most powerful and accurate bike trainer on the market. It features the new Pedal stroke analysis and this enables them to perform really specific training sessions.”

“It’s great to see that a renowned team like CANYON//SRAM Racing chooses for Tacx products,” said Koos Tacx, CEO of Tacx. “It is beyond dispute that they have a strong team. You do not just win the Team Time Trial World Championship as they did in Innsbruck last year. They only get better and we hope that the rise of the team continues this season. Furthermore, they promote women’s professional cycling, which I can only applaud.”

Next month the season will kick-off during the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana where the team can show their strength and a new look.
