Your new bike trainer is here and you are eager to start using it. However, unlike your old classic trainer, smart trainers offer a little more as far as technology and fun things to do. Getting it set up properly and connected at first, can be a little intimidating and confusing.

In this video, I will walk you through how I set up my trainers to make sure it’s up to date and working properly. I walk you through the unboxing, cassette installation, and tools you need, firmware update, calibration, and pairing it to Zwift.

  • Your videos are great and been so helpful. I’ve tried everywhere to find the answer to this question. Everyone just says they’ve never had this problem…
I hooked up an older MTB to my tacx and I don’t get near enough resistance. I calibrated it, updated firmware. In the hardest gear pedaling around 120 it says I’m only putting out 240 watts. Everyone says to just use a road bike on smart trainers. Any ideas?
