Peloton today announced an all-new Peloton Bike+ with a rotating touch screen and automatic resistance option.
The new bike comes with a 23.8″ rotating HD touchscreen which rotates 180 degrees left and right for easy viewing when you’re off the Bike. This is a great option when following yoga or strength classes. The new Bike+ also comes with four high-fidelity speakers built into the screen and a one-touch integration with Apple Watch for Apple GymKit.
Also, you will find a new auto-follow feature in the new Bike+. This allows the bike to automatically adjust resistance based on your target metrics and scales your resistance up and down based on instructor guidance. This is similar to the ERG mode functionality available on smart bike trainers that you might be familiar with.
The new Peloton Bike+ retails for $2,495 USD (£2,295 GBP/$3,295 CAD/€2,690 EUR) and available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Germany on September 9, 2020. Peloton will continue to sell the original Peloton bike at a new lower price point of $1,895 USD.
Owners of the original Peloton Bike in the U.S. only are eligible to trade in their original Peloton Bike for the new Bike+ and receive a $700 rebate and a free Yoga & Toning accessories set.
NEW PELOTON TREAD
Peloton also announced a new and more affordable treadmill. The new Tread treadmill has all the features you find in the original treadmill but in a smaller footprint that is smaller than “most couches”.
The new Tread comes with a 23.8” HD touchscreen that tilts up and down 50 degrees and has integrated speakers.
The new Peloton Tread will be $2,495 USD ($3,295 CAD /£2,295 GBP) and is coming in early 2021 to the US and Canada, to the UK starting on December 26, 2020, and to Germany later in 2021. The original Peloton Tread, now called Peloton Tread+ which is larger and packs a 32-inch display will remain at $4,295 USD.
