Wahoo today announced their all-new KICKR ROLLR with dual-based roller design. The new ROLLR has a hybrid design with rollers in the back and a safety tire gripper that secures the front wheel of the bike.

The KICKR ROLLR was designed to accommodate a wide range of frame and tire sizes via a quick-release adjustable wheelbase clamp. Taking the bike on and off is as easy as un-securing the front wheel clamp and lifting the bike off the rollers making it ideal for those athletes who want to quickly transition from indoor training to riding outside, as well as for households where multiple riders use the same trainer.

Due to shipping and weather delays, I received the KICKR ROLLR late and currently testing it. My full in-depth review will be out soon. Make sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel for that review.

CONNECTCIVITY

The ROLLR itself doesn’t measure power, instead, it will pair to an external ANT+ power meter to provide trainer control for sim and ERG mode riding. The ROLLR will re-broadcast power and cadence and pair to third-party apps via ANT+ or Bluetooth. The ROLLR also supports Direct Connect.

Measuring accurate power with rollers has been a challenge for most smart rollers manufacturers as there are multiple variables that can make it challenging to provide an accurate measurement. Wahoo is also offering a bundle with their all-new POWRLink Zero sing-sided power meter for riders who don’t have a power meter.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

KICKR ROLLR has an MSRP of $799.99 or $1399.99 bundled with the SPEEDPLAY POWRLINK ZERO single-sided power meter and is available at WahooFitness.com or through authorized Wahoo retailers.
