Performing sprint type efforts with your smart trainer can be a little challenging if you do it in ERG mode. Generally, for sprint type workouts, you are asked to do all-out efforts for that amount of time.

So depending on the type of cyclist you are, you might find sprint intervals to be too difficult to do in erg mode, too easy, or just right for you.
