Zwift built an event-specific 1.2-mile (1.9 km) world called Crit City. This is an event-specific course on an island in the middle of the pacific. Crit events started to appear on Zwift’s events calendar and I had a chance to give it a try.

Crit City is Zwift’s eight map but unlike other Zwift’s World. As the name suggests, this map is meant for criterium type racing that is usually short and full of twists and turns.

The only way to get on Crit City is by signing up for a Crit race which you can do using the Zwift’s Companion app or on Zwift’s events website.

Crit City features two routes: Downtown Dolphin and Bell Lap. Both routes are on the same map and they just go opposite of each other. The Downtown Dolphin route travels in a clockwise fashion, while Bell Lap is counter-clockwise. Both routes have a total distance of 1.2 miles (1.9 km) and a total elevationof 26 feet or 8 meters.
