Good price for nice smart trainer

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Very easy to set up and use. Works really well with FulGaz software for a very realistic simulation of riding outdoors. The best use case is for someone not "hard core" (they've got heavier duty trainers for those folks). This works perfectly for using a few times a week for a bit shorter rides (< 2 hours). Definitely should use a trainer tire if using it regularly. My wife uses this trainer and loves it. I upgraded to a Kickr based on my use case (every day in winter & during summer fires in the west, for 2-6 hours), but was happy with the Snap until my use increased and we needed a second trainer.

Great Upgrade at a Good Price

I upgraded from a 10 year old road machine (dumb trainer). This Snap is awesome! Just unpack it, set it up, plug it in and mount the bike. Did the initial spin down and then road a workout on Zwift. Having done the same workout on Zwift many times, with this trainer it was entirely different. You can really feel the hills and climbs. What had been just my usual after work workout was now a great workout that my legs really felt! At half the price of a wheel-off trainer, you can't beat the price and the feel when riding this is great! I'm really enjoying it so far, and can certainly recommend this.

Best Trainer Ever!

Familiarity:

This trainer is everything it is advertised as! Paired with Zwift, it has allowed me to bring realistic training indoors and have a bunch of fun! It runs quitely, and pairs to my Apple TV effortlessly. I would highly recommend this trainer! Best wheel on trainer I have ever used!

Great Value in Smart Trainer

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I really really wanted a direct mount trainer but price and availability (like everything in bikes currently) when this popped up I had seen the reviews: solid foundation, heavy fly wheel for good feel, and plenty of resistance to simulate pretty good climbs. Made a huge difference to my enjoyment of virtual platforms in shifting from standard fluid trainer to this. It is actually quieter and much more like riding on the road. Getting bike in and out is a "snap" you set the non-drive side in, and flip down the lever. Crank up the rotor to engage with the tire and you are ready to go. I currently use a TACX trainer tire (this is the one pain, the need to swap tires or have a second wheel...or just wear out your rear tire...) and it works well though on step ascents even with it cranked into the tire pretty hard I can still induce some slip. That is more the tire than trainer. Handy that it has BT and ANT+ however...BT to my PC wahoo not so hip to that but it is working well now (there is a lot of variety in standards support etc) and for ANT+ rather than just putting the little USB antenna into laptop's slot, they suggest putting a long USB cable on so the antenna can be placed behind the trainer. That seems very strange to me. I have used it with Zwift, Rouvy, and Sufferfest through the PC, my Galaxy S9+ and my iPad and once you are setup it is good -- again BT issues can be the biggest challenge and on the devices in particular since apps don't fully exit sometimes one app in background can muck with the app you are in.
