The Elite Suito T Interactive trainer has been perfected by professionals to be used by amateurs like us. With adapters for 9 and 12mm rear axles, the stable base works with all our bikes, from our race-specific cross-country 29er to our road training bike. Though we're normally insistent on staying outside as long as possible, if the weather gets too miserable we'll happily throw our legs over the trainer instead. With a maximum 15% simulated gradient, it's not all that different from churning up the climbs in our own backyard mountains. Nearly identical to the Suito package, we save a bit of money with the Suito T by throwing your own standard freehub-body compatible cassette on. We're impressed with the unique algorithms that make resistance stay consistent throughout the entire workout no matter how hot our pain cave gets. Even better, the Suito T is one of the few trainers on the market we can use our power meter with to enable ergonomic mode. If we are looking to race other avatars, the Suito easily pairs with our favorite riding apps on the market. Simulating up to 1900w resistance, we know the trainer isn't the reason we're not winning those green jersey sprints in the digital world.

First off, be aware that this is the Suito-T which comes without a cassette, which can be good if you need anything BUT a shimano 11speed. So you will need to purchase a cassette, and have a lockring tool, maybe a chainwhip and likely some spacers to install a cassette, that can add up in costs which is something to keep in mind.

Otherwise, it is a solid trainer. There are many in depth reviews written elsewhere about it. Setup was not difficult, syncing to services/apps is painfree, and elite customer service is helpful if you ever need to contact them.

Using this on Zwift as my first wheel-off trainer. Setup was a bit more complicated, as I have a 12-speed SRAM Rival AXS cassette, so between ordering and installing the new cassette and freewheel hub, plus ordering tools, then damaging one of the adapter rings by overtghtening it, well, it took me a little longer to get going than I hoped.

But once I got going, it's been a good experience for the most part. It's super quiet in both ERG and non-ERG mode. Getting the bike on is simple and just requires tightening the thru-axle.

When it's in ERG mode, it takes 10-20 seconds for the power to settle into that Zwift is setting. The power levels fluctuate more than I expected for a wheel-off trainer, missing the target power levels by 10% or so moment to moment before getting back on target. It does seem to average out pretty close to the target over the course of the interval, but the variability is puzzling.

You can level two foot pads on either extending leg. That's important to do for stability. There are some annoying creaking sounds coming from the chassis itself. Some of the fittings could probably be tightened with the proper torx bit, something that I will look into doing.

All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and the unit. Not perfect, but wasn't expecting it to be.

I'm a 65 y/o recreational road/gravel rider who rides 200-250 miles a month, and this is my first interactive trainer. I love the trainer itself because it is very easy to install the bike on, is very stable while using it, is pretty quiet, and has a smooth and pretty natural feel. My only quibble is where they located the button to fold the legs can make this a tricky operation until you figure out a method (I hold the fixed leg upright which enables me to balance the trainer and use one hand to depress the buttons and fold the legs one at a time.) I should note that I don't use any accessories to monitor my heart rate, power, or cadence and just rely on the app to calculate the last two.

What I'm not crazy about is the software. The phone app's UI is rather primitive and the "buttons" aren't sensitive enough which usually requires several stabs of the finger to get them to work. Naming a ride you've recording to play back on the trainer is not at all intuitive. My biggest gripe though is with the PC application. Like the phone app it's UI is primitive and not terribly intuitive, but my biggest gripe is how the difficulty of either a downloaded video of a ride as well as one you record yourself is calculated. I find I have to set the difficulty at 50% to approximate the actual difficulty of the ride I recorded. And the slope calculator often seems way out of whack too. For example, it calculated the slope of a section of a ride I recorded at 3%, when in fact the section slopes downhill at around 2%. You'll notice the same thing with videos downloaded from the library. It'll show a slope of like 1.5% when you can clearly see that section is level or even downhill. So while I'd give the trainer itself 5 stars, I can only give the software 2 stars because of these issues, hence the 3 star overall rating. Kudos to Elite though for providing actual videos rather than virtual ones like I understand Zwift and others use. Hopefully they'll improve the apps and eliminate these issues.

Overall though I'm really enjoying the trainer. I gave up using the old wheel on roller type trainer years ago not only because it was so boring but because it wouldn't hold the bike securely and I fell over and badly injured my wrist as a result. It also wore out tires like crazy. On the Suito T though I feel perfectly safe and stable and it saves wear on my tire. It's so enjoyable and easy to use I don't use it just when the weather is awful, but even on nice days when the pollen count is high and I don't want to feel miserable after a ride or maybe there's too much traffic during the only time I have to ride. It's a great way to ensure you still get your miles in even when outside conditions aren't ideal.

Like another reviewer said, it's not plug and play, since you need a cassette. The Suito normally comes with an 11 speed cassette. I needed a 10 speed, which is why I went with the Suito T. I took mine in to the local bike shop and they fixed me up with the cassette and installation. The cassettes normally run $60-$100 so you'll need to factor that price in. The trainer so far works great. I have only ridden it a few times, so will update this review with more information when I have more experience with it. great deal through Amazon, though. I used the offer to get the Amazon Credit card and got $200 off and 18 month financing. Cannot get a better deal on a trainer anywhere.

The trainer has been working great. Sometimes it's hard to get connected to calibrate, but it usually works after a reset of the power. Resistance makes it feel like riding uphill and down. Power reading seems very accurate from what I can tell. Not really any problems after a month plus of riding. Great option for those on more of a budget ( wahoo is$$$$)

Tengo ya 1 año con el trainer, de entrada jamas ajusto el nivel de watts en las apps con el que lo intente usar (Elite My eTraining, ERGVideo, Golden Cheetah & ICTrainer), es decir, si ponia la resistencia a 150 W?, esto no sucedia, y luego al mes de tenerlo, la tablilla electronica madre (motherboard) fallo, haciendo imposible el usarlo, ya que la resistencia era sumamente alta!, total abri caso de soporte con el fabricante (muy mal trato y respuesta), finalmente logre que me mandaran un repuesto del motherboard, pero mismo comportamiento, en el cual la bici controla la resistencia (por medio de los cambios) en lugar de que el trainer "obedeciera" el perfil de carga por medio de la app usada. FINALMENTE, luego de 1 año, regrese a mi Wahoo Kickr Snap --este si sigue el perfil de resistencia o carga, indepedientemente del plato y paso que se seleccione en el cassette. NO LO RECOMIENDO en lo absoluto.

el trainer hace mes y medio llego bien empacado y facil de configurar estuve contento todo este mes pero hace unos dias el trainer dejo de funcionar y ya no lo puedo regresar ya que se termino la ventana de devoluciones ahora me quede con un pisa papeles caro.
