WHICH BIKE TRAINER IS RIGHT FOR ME?
When in the market for a new indoor bike trainer, the most important question to ask yourself is: what are my goals? If you don't have specific goals in mind, perhaps ask yourself what you're looking for in a trainer.
Maybe it's the ability to sit, spin and catch up on Netflix. Maybe you're training for a race or have specific workouts in mind. Maybe you want to join a group ride on a cycling app.
A clarifying point: indoor trainers may also be referred to as a turbo or a turbo trainer. So if you're in the market for a turbo trainer, you're in the right place!

I’ve used this with Zwift for over a month now without issue. Be sure to clean your tire first and check for rocks so you don’t blow your tube.
Updated review below:

After using this trainer for over 3 years I can still say it's holding up extremely well. I have had no problems with this trainer.
The trainer itself has minimal wear and tear and I have put thousands of miles on it. It's very important to keep the firmware updated on this unit (use the Roovy app) as well as calibrating the spin down (with Roovy, not Zwift). Always make sure your tire is 100% clean before putting the bike on the trainer. Because there is so much pressure that's added to the tire you need to make sure you're checking the air often as it will leak.
Bluetooth connection has been solid on my iPad Pro.
Any type of drops in power or connection have been solved in firmware updates and Zwift updates.
I have 0 complainers on their trainer.
Update 2022:
Trainer is still going strong! Firmware updates have still been released for this unit. Still working great with Zwift.
I recommend this. Just have realistic expectations. Also, take the time to calibrate it each time you ride it.
I'll start with some positives. The frame is adequately built. It essentially does what its intended to though assembling is a bit difficult as putting through the right sided pin to hold the bikes rear axle is challenging and it does not operate smoothly after repeated use.
I have had no significant issues with connectivity or dropped signals via Bluetooth.
Speaking generally smart trainers are definitely the way to go. They definitely make indoor training more enjoyable. So when this particular trainer works as intended it can be a joy.
But here's the main problem. Rear wheel slippage on this model is out of control whenever the grade exceeds 5%. Essentially this renders any hill training and most online training programs that is syncs with useless and therefore makes the trainer useless. How Cycleops could possibly have allowed this to leave the R&D stages without either killing this design or correcting it is mind blowing.
Do yourself a favor and look at the Tacx or Wahoo Kickr or possibly even a Kinetic but steer clear of this joke of a company.
Update: I've now owned this thing for a year. It is no longer responding to commands from the training programs though it indicates that it is connected through Bluetooth. Essentially I have a $600 set of rollers after just over a year. CycleOps "Lifetime Warranty" is a joke...it applies only to the frame not the electronics which this clearly is an electronics problem. So now if I can actually get a hold of anyone at the company as they are based in Wisconsin and they work 8 to 4 with apparently a 5 hour lunch, I get the treat of spending more money to repair this thing. We'll see if they're reputable and make good on they're poorly designed and produced trainer.
